Cheri Hill “Be brief, be brilliant, be gone!”

Q. What have been the most rewarding aspects of your speaking career?
A. First, I love interacting with the audience. I really feed off of them because they inspire me to keep going and continually push me to learn more.  The more I learn, the more I can teach and share.
Second, is all the great places I have been requested to speak.  I love to travel and get paid for doing it!  It has totally enhanced and broadened my life experience by participating in events and then getting to play tourist too! (This is the part I miss!)
Third, I discovered my soul’s purpose.  I am a messenger. I am truly in my element when sharing what I know.  The comments and feedback constantly confirm it.   That’s rewarding both personally and professionally.

Q.  Do you use social media?

A. Yes. I have a blog (askcherihill.com). I post maybe two blogs a month, but they are full articles. We have a newsletter for our clients so in the newsletter I will start the topic and then state, “To read the rest, you need to go out to my blog.” So now I have just killed two birds with one stone. I actually write the article in my blog and then tie it back to the newsletter.  It’s very effective.

I have personal profiles on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and some others.  I tend to use Facebook and Twitter for announcements, like, “I will be speaking at this event,” or, “I am going to attend this event in January, please come join me.” I really use it more for information on what is going on, cool things that are happening. Sage will have its own profiles too.
